House of Spooks ~ Halloween Special

Hey guys. Happy Halloween! I'm super proud of this story, I just love how it turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy it too. I just give a really quick thank you to my awesome neighbors for letting me shot in this old house on their land. ❤️ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Any aces?" "Nope, go fish." "Hey, Em! You ready to go?" Emerson asked as she and Candy walked into the kitchen. Emily turned in her seat, "Emerson, I already told you, you're fourteen years old I'm sixteen years old. I'm not taking you trick-or-treating." "But Emily, Candy is still thirteen. This is her last chance to go out on Halloween, but her mom said she could only go if I went with her, and Mom said I can only go if you go!" Emerson argued. "Yeah, but Janet and I have plans." Emily replied. 'Where you going to play 'Go Fis...

Dolls Will Be Dolls ~ A Photo Story

"Ugh!" Taryn groaned. It was a very hot day and The Human had sent the girls to play out side.
"It so hot out here our vinyl will melt!" Taryn said exasperatedly.

Charlie stared at her in horror.
"Our vinyl will melt?!" she asked.
"No." Taryn said as she rolled her eyes.

As Charlie looked across the yard she remembered that she had promised The Human that she would help Taryn have fun. Even if it was hot.
She saw the green lawn and called Taryn to follow her.

She looked across the fresh green lawn.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Charlie asked Taryn.

"No," Taryn panted as she lay on the grass. "It's just hot."
Charlie looked around. Then she saw the play house.

As she walked up to the climbing wall on one side she said "I wonder which one of us could get up this." loud enough for Taryn to hear her.

Taryn lay on the lawn with out moving.
"Come on." Charlie said enticingly. "Fine." Taryn said as she trudged across the lawn.

"Um. I think I might take the ladder." Charlie said.

"Whatever." Taryn said with a sigh.

Then she scrambled up the climbing wall in record time.

'What else can I do with her?' Charlie thought as she slowly climbed the ladder.

When Charlie finally crawled into the house she said, with a breath between every word "That...is...a...long...climb."
"Not really." Taryn said.

Then Charlie had an idea so she stood up and began to move her arms up and down.

"What are you doing?!" Taryn asked as if Charlie were crazy.

"Stand behind me and you'll see." Charlie answered.

"Oh, I get it. It looks like your climbing a tree." Taryn said.
"Try it!" Charlie said. "It's fun!"
"Umm, no thanks." Taryn said.
"Well then let's...umm." Charlie looked around again. "Go down the human's scoot chute." She suggested.

"Are you crazy?!" Taryn shouted."You would never go down the human scoot chute. (Slide 😉 )"

"Sure."  Charlie answered a little nervously as she looked down the scoot chute.

"Go ahead then."  Taryn said almost daring her.

She sat down at the top of the scoot chute, took a deep breath, and scooted.

Charlie put her hands in the air. It was kind of fun...until she started to speed up.

'Maybe this wasn't a good idea.' she thought.

Charlie landed hard on the ground. Then she stood up and gave Taryn a thumbs up.

'I didn't think she would really do it, but if she did it, I have to.' Taryn thought.

She sat down and then sighed. 'I have to do it and I have to do it better' She thought again.
So she decided to go backwards.

She slowly turned around.

Charlie was sitting on the grass, watching and laughing to herself.

Taryn flew down the slide... and it was not fun.

And she landed in the sand at the bottom of the slide.

But she quickly jumped up and said "I'm good!".

"So where would you like to go next?" Charlie asked.

"I don't care." Taryn panted, "You choose."

"Well then let's go for a walk!" Charlie said running ahead.

"What?! A walk?! In this heat!" Taryn cried as she followed Charlie.

"This is crazy!" Taryn was explaining as she tried to talk Charlie out of a walk. But Charlie wasn't listening, she was looking for something to distract Taryn.

Then she saw the huge sea of sand.

'Perfect.' Charlie thought.

"...And we can't waste water because who knows how long we'll be out here. And..."

Charlie ran off in the middle of Taryn's sentence.

Then she plopped down at the edge of the sand.

Taryn came up behind her.
"What are you doing?" she asked curiously.

"Do you want to play?" Charlie asked as she stood up.

"Um........Sure?" Taryn said uncertainly.

Charlie had taken her boots off and began to crawl through the sand on all fours.

"What are you doing?" Taryn asked.
"I'm trying to survive in the desert." Charlie answered. "Come on."
Taryn shrugged. "Why not."

And so the two played happily in the 'desert' for a long time.

After a while Taryn rolled over and said dramatically "I can't go on any longer!"
"No. We must keep going Charlie said almost as dramatically.

Just then the Human came out and called, "Taryn! Charlie! It's time to come in. You'll get sunburn if your out any longer."

They both looked at her. "What? But we want to keep playing!" Taryn said.

"Please can't we stay out a little longer?" Charlie begged.
"Well, I guess. As long as you come in soon." The Human said.

And so the two walked off, talking about some new game they had made.
The Human shook her head. "Dolls. You never know what they'll do next."
