House of Spooks ~ Halloween Special

Hey guys. Happy Halloween! I'm super proud of this story, I just love how it turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy it too. I just give a really quick thank you to my awesome neighbors for letting me shot in this old house on their land. ❤️ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Any aces?" "Nope, go fish." "Hey, Em! You ready to go?" Emerson asked as she and Candy walked into the kitchen. Emily turned in her seat, "Emerson, I already told you, you're fourteen years old I'm sixteen years old. I'm not taking you trick-or-treating." "But Emily, Candy is still thirteen. This is her last chance to go out on Halloween, but her mom said she could only go if I went with her, and Mom said I can only go if you go!" Emerson argued. "Yeah, but Janet and I have plans." Emily replied. 'Where you going to play 'Go Fis...

Meet the Crew!

Meet the Crew!

Welcome to Lake View County,
My dolls all live in the fictional Lake View County, in mid-west Saskatchewan, named for the many beautiful lake which dot the countryside.
Oxbow Farm, where most of the dolls live, is nestled in Aspen Valley, near Oxbow Lake. The rest of my dolls live on the neighboring farms and acreages, such as Lilac Hedge Farm, and Apple Blossom Orchards.
I hope you enjoy exploring this wonderful little world along with my dolls and I. :)
Keep reading to get to know them a bit better.

Oxbow Farm Family:

Taryn

My very first doll is Taryn Elizabeth Brady. Taryn is the wild child of the family. She is quite random, and you never know what she's going to say next. She loves sports, especially volleyball, and is on countless teams. Taryn loves anything active, and she tends to go a little stir crazy if she sits still for too long. She also goes a bit nuts if she gets too much sugar. Taryn can be extremely tactless, but her spunky, fun personality usually wins her quick forgiveness.

Charlie

Charlie Lynn Smith is the second doll. Charlie is a very sweet motherly figure. She is very selfless and hard working, but she can be a little bossy. Charlie's sisters say her only hobbies are cleaning and organizing, and they're half right. Charlie loves keeping things clean, and orderly, but what very few people know is she loves collecting. Buttons, hair clips, stamps, socks, glitter, you name it, Charlie has a collection of it. Charlie can be very over ambitious, but she can usually rely on her sisters to help her out.

Claire

My third doll was Claire Marianne Brady, Taryn's biological sister. Claire is very tech savvy. She is very skilled at programming and coding, but she also enjoys Pinterest and AGTube. Claire is really the exact opposite of Taryn. Claire detests the outdoors, and hates sports, or anything that requires work. Claire is extremely smart but she doesn't get very good grades in school, because she doesn't try. Many would call her lazy, but she prefers the term, 'Permanent energy saving mode'.
Claire is naturally very sarcastic but most people have a hard time know if she's teasing or not. Overall Claire is quite well meaning, but she can be hard to get along with.

Kit
My little sisters first doll is Katrina Lilac Kitteredge. Kit is very creative, and she loves making up stories. She and her best friend, Ruthie, often act out stories she's made up. Kit also enjoys pranks, practical jokes, one liners. Anything for a laugh. Kit is great to have around because she can always she the sunny side, no matter how dark it looks.

Ruthie
Ruthie Anne Smithens is my sister's second doll. Ruthie is very dramatic and she loves acting. Her friends all know her as 'Drama Queen'. She can be really bossy, and she thinks that everyone else listen to her, but often they ignore her completely. Ruthie enjoys singing as well as, acting out stories with her friend Kit.
Lanie

Lanie Primrose Holland is my fourth doll. Lanie is very sweet and caring. She loves animals, and she often volunteers at the local animal shelter. To be honest, if Charlie would let her, Lanie would bring home every animal she ever met. Lanie loves the outdoors, and she can often be found on a hike, bird watching, in the barn, or out in her garden. Lanie tries really hard to grow a big garden every year, and every year something doesn't turn out right, but she still enjoys trying. Lanie is very compassionate and hard working too. She helps Charlie out with many things around the house, but she doesn't mind. She enjoys helping others.

Afton
Afton Paris DeBourgh, is the fifth doll to join the family. Afton is a sassy fashionista who always knows what to say to get what she wants. Afton can be very headstrong and somewhat demanding. She loves playing guitar, singing, and putting together outfits. Afton loves anything trendy and often does very silly things to be 'cool'. Afton runs a huge, world-famous AGTube channel, Afton DeBourgh Official, which she posts her vlogs/lifestyle videos on. Afton can be a bit grouchy, especially when she's tired, but she can also be quite sweet and kind. It really depends on what kind of day she's had.

Molly
Molly Joan McIntire, my sixth doll, is definitely the smartest doll in the family. Molly loves reading, science, math and school in general. She is extremely smart, and she's always correcting people. Molly is an ambivert, she would much rather study than chat, but she often get into arguments about proper word usage, spelling, etc. She is never to be found without her trusty book bag, and she's never missed an exam. Molly likes sticking to the rules, and she is a bit of a tattle-tale, but she sometimes lets Afton copy her homework. Only because she never likes to see someone fail.

Amelia
Amelia Ella Woodhouse, is the seventh and youngest in the family. Amelia often goes by her nickname, Amy. She is very sweet and cute. She loves Disney, dress-up, and anything to do with water. Of course, her favorite Disney princess is Moana. She likes singing and she really looks up to Afton. Amy loves spending time outside, especially if it's near water. Some of her favorite pastimes are swimming, kayaking, and drawing. Amy isn't particularly good at any of those things, but she never gives up, and she's always game to try again.

Beatrix
Beatrix Lily Evans, my little sister's third doll, is a spunky, bubbly, extrovert. She loves excitement and making people happy. Her favorite thing to do is plan parties. She throws a surprise part at least once a week. Whenever Trixie runs out of occasions to celebrate, she'll just make something up, because, as she says, "If laughter is the best medicine, happiness is an immunity,".

Lilac Hedge Farm Family:

Heather
Heather Violet Grant is the eighth doll. Heather is extremely creative. She loves music and she plays the banjo, guitar, and piano. She enjoys writing both songs and stories. Heather always carries a notebook to jot down ideas in, because inspiration can come from anywhere. Heather is very kind and often play the peacemaker. She's quite good at calming people down, and she very seldom gets upset. She and Molly get along very well because they share a love of reading.

June
June Emma Clark is my ninth doll. June is quite introverted and quiet. She is very sweet, but gets really nervous around other people. Poor June is very clumsy and awkward, and she often messes things up. She gets discouraged very easily, and feels like she ruins everything she touches. she is a very hard worker, both in school and in games. She likes baseball and flying kites. June may feel like a loser, but everyone who knows her would say that she is the sweetest most positive person they know. June is sort of based off of Charlie Brown.

Apple Blossom Orchard Family:

Carrie Jane
Samantha Carrie Jane Parkington, who goes by Carrie or sometimes CJ, is my tenth doll. Carrie is quite tomboyish, though she mostly wears dresses, and skirts. She loves sports, and she is on Taryn's volleyball team, and June's baseball team. Carrie also enjoys books, almost as much as her biological sister, Molly, does. Carrie is very upbeat, outgoing, and adventurous. If anything is exciting or daring, you can bet Carrie will be there. One obstacle that Carrie's adventurous spirit has had to hurdle is her asthma. When ever Carrie overexerts herself, she has to user her inhaler, which she keeps on her at all times. Carrie's favorite thing, besides reading or exploring is hanging out with Molly.

    1. Hi there!
Thank you, I quite like them. That's cool, I think Molly is the most like me. :)
Hmm... That's odd. I don't know why that would be a problem. Most of my followers don't have a blog at all. I'll ask some of my friends and see if this has ever happened to them. Thanks for letting me know! <3

  3. I love your dolls! They're adorable! What brand of dolls are Taryn and Charlie? They look like Maplea dolls to me. I can relate to Taryn, Molly, Afron, and Kit with a dash of Ruthie. I guess I'm kind of like all of them.
